Abstract: This book was published with the intension of presenting an illustrated view of Obstetrics. The author believes that very often lengthy worded explanations fail to convey the desired effect, while a visual example has been proven to stir up the mind into action more than words. Pictures are also a stimulus to the mind of the illiterate. He further believes that readers should study well this book, so that the knowledge gained from it may save him money and anxiety otherwise wasted through ignorance. This book is a compendium of 64 plates containing more than 172 selected figures of modern and ancient engravers for curiosity of old cuts to the students and teaching to adults gathered from old and modern books of different authors : instructive, useful, curious
