Abstract: MRI provides very high contrast resolution and is excellent in soft tissue imaging even without the use of contrast agents. In fact a number of conflicting ideas exist regarding the use of MR contrast agents. The objective of this study is to evaluate the role of MR contrast agents and their clinical applications. From the literature reviewed it was found out that MR contrast agents are useful in enhancing of certain pathologies, namely tumors, even further.
