| Abstract: | Management is defined as the process of reaching organisational goals by working with and through people and other organisational resources. Management has three main characteristics: (1) Management is a process or series of continuing and related activities. (2) Management involves and concentrates on reaching organisational goals. (3) Management reaches these goals by working with and through people and other organisational resources. In an organisation, management has four main functions that are Planning, Organising, Motivating and Controlling. |
