| Abstract: | It is said that Information Systems are extremely popular in companies nowadays and are essential to run the company. With all the innovation that keeps happening in the world and with new technologies coming out every day these new technologies are bound to affect Information systems and how they are used. Words like AI, Big Data, Data mining are used alot in recent time and one can find multiple articles on how these technologies have changed the word and of how important data is nowadays. The aim of this study is to research if information systems are really as important to organisations as they advert in local companies and what are the similarities and differences of an information system from an industry to another. Also, if local companies do have them what new technologies are being introduced? Is data really as important and do companies really analyse data that they gather? What technology is most popular in organisations today? |
