Abstract: This publication is inspired by the objectives of the Archaeotur project which include the setting up of heritage trails. Such trails would include many heritage sites and would also create interest in related aspects connected with both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. This book is intended to steer this interest in the younger generations who are still of school age. It aims to give these young members of society the opportunity to read about various tangible heritage sites and structures. It also provides them with the chance of learning more about our heritage through exercises which one can work by looking for the answers through research or inquiry. This leads to further learning about the vast related topics. Answers to check one’s work are provided in the last section of the book. For those who wish to be further engaged, there are pictures of many heritage sites and monuments which are presented in such as way so as to offer the user the facility to colour them in. As a guide to which colours should be applied, the four sides of the cover include all the pictures in colour. It is hoped that this book will inspire all its users to become more conscious of their cultural heritage and to realise that this should be safeguarded not only for our generation but also for those that will follow.
