| Abstract: | At the request of the Colonial Office, J.C.F. Hopkins visited Malta from 27 July to 3 August to investigate the phytopathological position in relation to the proposed establishment of a plant protection organisation within the Department of Agriculture. His visit was in the middle of the dry season when many diseases of field crops are not visible, so that in the absence of any up-to-date records of plant diseases in Malta the conclusions have to be based to some extent on verbal reports and inference. |
