Abstract: This qualitative study explores the experience of the health care workers, caring for people with substance addiction. Semi-structured interviews were used. Data was analysed. Difficulties and hindrances in their work place were explored. The carers expressed the need for more continues professional development. Stigma towards this client group was highlighted.
