Abstract: | Buildings account for 40% of total primary energy consumption in the EU and have great energy savings potential. Given the requirement to ensure that indoor air quality meets EN 15251 standard, it has become common practice for offices to install mechanical ventilation. It is widely believed that introduction of heat recovery systems can reduce energy consumption and has therefore become standard practice in today's applications. |
