Abstract: Though this is a paper on the vulnerability and the abuse of power, I have structured it according to the four weeks of the Spiritual Exercises. The first half of the paper is strong; it is the first week, sin. The second week, which is on vulnerability, has at its heart the life of Jesus. Toward the end of the paper we consider the passion of Jesus. Finally, we are left with the fourth week, to live out what we have seen and heard.
