Abstract: The study aimed to find cross-cultural differences between the Maltese and German culture in emotion expressivity. The mentioned variables, alongside other attributes of age, gender and religion, were tested using a quantitative methodology. The sample of participants consisted of 80 (n=80; 47 Female, 33 Male), half of whom were Maltese, and the other half German. Independent sample t-test were used to measure the difference between culture and emotion expressivity, gender and emotion expressivity and religion and emotion expressivity. Correlations were used to test the relationship between age and emotion expressivity. Results demonstrated no significant differences between culture and emotion expressivity in negative expressivity, positive expressivity and impulse strength. In contrast, a significant difference was found in gender and emotion expressivity; negative expressivity; positive expressivity and impulse strength.
