| Abstract: | Having attempted to place the law under review in its socio-historical context, we now proceed to study the institute of marriage as put forward by the act, in a purely juridical sense. In this respect, our first task is to examine the concept of marriage as it stands under our new civil law. This chapter is mostly dedicated to the exercise of' extracting a complete and homogeneous definition of marriage from the provisions of this law. The second part is then aimed at a brief exposition of the contractual aspects of marriage. |
