Library : behind the scenes

Abstract

This InfoBit talk invites the participants to take a peek behind the scenes of the University of Malta Library. In its first part, the presentation delves into the life-cycle of a print book, beginning with its acquisition and ending with the weeding out process, whilst the second part focuses more on the electronic resources. Additionally, introduced are the more specialized departments of the Library, namely the Retro-conversion Department, the Open Science Department, and the Outreach Department.
