Abstract: | This dissertation describes a study on evaluating mathematical worksheets which are being used on IT with Form 1 students. These worksheets are being implemented both in government Junior Lyceums and Area Secondary schools. The study was conducted in Corradino Junior Lyceum for boys, Zejtun Junior Lyceum for girls, Paola Area Secondary for boys and Tarxien Area Secondary for girls. Ten Form 1 students and one teacher from each mentioned school were interviewed on their opinion of the worksheets. The basis of this evaluation was taken on the following six criteria: Content, Mode Of Instruction, Technical Presentation Of Screen, Technical Presentation Of Worksheets, Documentation and Ease Of Use. In general it was reported that Area Secondary students find these worksheets difficult due to the language used in the worksheet, and the content, which was not covered adequately in class. This study therefore concludes that these worksheets are not adaptable to be used by both Junior Lyceum and Area Secondary students. Therefore different worksheets need to be designed for Area Secondary students. |
