Abstract: This evaluation follows the Context, Input, Process and Product CC. I .P.P.) model and is based on interviews, a teacher questionnaire and tests. The interviews were held with the Science Education Officer Mr. E. White and fourteen teachers from Sliema, Fsiura, Marsa and Hamrun Primary Schools. The quest. i onnai re wa.s sent to a 11 ( 14 3) Year Five teachers in Malta and Gazo with a 70% response. This study evaluates conceptual level and the presentation, type of activities l anguag13 used, found in the sheets. A language Lest was also set Lo 70 Year Five pupils in the first three strea.ms at Marsa Primary "B". It was found that generally teachers and pupils were in favour of the introduction of Science. However, the language and content level of the sheets were above the expected ability of the age group. The lack of resources was found to be a maJor obstacle Lo the teaching of science at this level
