L-evalwazzjoni ta' programm kompjuterizzat ghat-taghlim tal-Malti fl-ewwel sena ta' l-iskola primarja

Abstract

The main aim of this dissertation is to inquire the use of computers in the teaching and learning of Maltese Language in Year 1 through an evaluation of the software "IL-MALTI MA' ROKITT". A sample of children was observed going through the whole programme. Three teachers were asked to comment on the use of this particular software by means of a questionnaire and an interview with the producer of the software was conducted where the procedure of the production was explained. All the information was then analysed and evaluated against a set of criteria which were previously chosen. One can also see the importance of the use of computers as a technological teaching aid which can help teachers in the children's linguistic development and also the importance of a software that enhances this development.
