Abstract: This study tries to investigate the following research questions: a) What brings about the stress that children have to undergo at school? b) If one of the main 'stressors' is really the Junior Lyceum entrance examination - why is it so? c) Is it fair that the children's lives are made to depend on this one examination? The methods of research were observation, interviewing and questionnaires. This study was confined to a relatively small sample in one particular school. The results of the study were that the pupils were undergoing a certain amount of stress in view of the Junior Lyceum entrance examination.
