Fil-beraħ mal-Ġojjin : studju analitiku u kritiku dwar Il-Ġojjin, ir-raba' ktieb

Abstract

This is an analytical and critical study of Il-Gojjin, book four, which is currently being used as a textbook for reading in private primary schools. The study includes a children's literature. general introduction on Section one includes three classifications, namely (i) a classification of content ie. prose and poetry (ii) a classification of content according to topic and (iii) a classification showing the contribution of each author in the reader. Section two shows a criticism of the evaluative aspect of the content, including choice of subject, characterization, presentation and style of writing. The last section includes a sample workbook comprising exercises of a grammatical nature mainly on the noun, adjective and verb as well as other exercises which promote creativity.
