Abstract: The research project undertaken involved the evaluation of the nutrition programme titled: "A Healthy Breakfast for a Good Start", organised at the Home Economics Seminar Centre, Birkirkara. This seminar geared for year 3 students and their parents, aims to highlight the importance of consuming a daily healthy breakfast. The evaluation assessment task involved the conduction of a pre-post test amongst attending pupils and a questionnaire for their parents. Results indicated that young children should have the opportunity to be exposed to more nutritional programmes, similar to that held at the Home Economics Centre, Birkirkara. After analysing the children prepost tests, it was evident that the programme left a positive impact on the pupils. This is due to the fact, that when comparing results obtained by the pupils both in the pre-post tests, results indicated that children achieved a higher percentage of correct answers in the post-test. Additionally, the results achieved from the parents' questionnaires show that the mentioned programme left a positive impact on most of the parents who attended it. The results also show that the programme left an impact on the parents' nutrition knowledge. A resource pack to be utilised at the centre was also designed and developed.
