Abstract

This study starts with an introduction about some modern aspects concerning "learning and teaching" in the classroom : namely the development theory of Piaget concerning concept formation in children; and the basic implication of B.F. Skinner's Linear Programme. Then follows the grammatical exercises which are grouped in four sections - each section dealing with a particular book from the series Id-Denfil which is used as a reader. In every section, I restricted myself to the vocabulary used in the corresponding reader and to that of the preceeding book. The main aim of these exercises is to initiate the pupils in the learning of the language, by maki2g them aware of the grammatical aspect without using any rigid grammatical rules and exceptions. To do this, I tried to build up these exercises step by step in such a way that each exercise is important in the whole context. A syllabus based on certain grammar rules had to be formulated to actuate my aim. This is divided into different items on which I based my exercises - which is more or less the scheme of work of such a syllabus. Through these exercises I did not intend to go into details for all the items, but rather to orientate the children for the learning of the language, and the teacher for the teaching of this subject. However the teacher is accepted to add and enlarge these exercises, so that the pupils will get more practice and a better chance to learn.
