Abstract: This dissertation explores the teaching of Moral Education, with particular reference to Malta. It argues that Moral Education is crucial for a child's development, and thus, it should be taken seriously to ensure the full development of all children. It should not be assumed that Moral Education is tackled during lessons in Religious Education or Personal and Social Education, because it is too crucial to be left to chance. In this dissertation, Lipman's programme for Philosophy for Children has been examined, as well as the role of narratives in Moral Education. Finally, I have presented six stories, which can be used for this purpose in Maltese schools. I have also included lesson notes for these stories, as well as interactive digital presentations.
