| Abstract: | In this study, I intend to find out if primary teachers' ideologies are really reflected in their professional practice. Moreover, I want to know if the teachers are up-dated with certain educational policies and trends, especially the Progressive approach, which is constantly debated as an alternative to traditional teaching and the National Minimum Curriculum for primary schools, which has been issued recently in 1988, and contains aspects of Progressive theory of education. This study was carried out in a state school, through structured interviews and classroom observations. |
