Fil-baħar mad-Denfil, vol. 4 : analiżi ta' 'Id-Denfil 1 : stejjer' u 'Id-Denfil 2'

Abstract

As one can see from the content my work is divided into eight chapters, including an introduction and an appendix. This study is mainly based on a general critical aspect of the book, including comments on the choice of topics, pictures, orthographical mistakes and syntax. My primary aim was in providing supplementary material both for written exercises as well as reading passages, because as Id-Denfil Stejjer is only a reader, it does not include them. From the experience I have acquired during my visits to several primary schools in Malta and Gozo, I have found out that such supplementary material is badly needed.. Chapter 7 is mainly based on the comments I have heard from teachers who teach this book and also from some heads of schools. In the Appendix I have included lists of new vocabulary found in the book and n classification of these words. I hope that my work will be of interest to teachers and to further research workers on the subject.
