Abstract: | Emotional Literacy enables our young pupils build intra-personal and inter-personal skills that will eventually help them manage different situations and nurture strong relationships. The development of Emotional Intelligence and the acquisition of Emotional Literacy skills ensure a secure and successful future for our children. This project describes how such skills can be passed on to our pupils through the Circle Time approach. It shows how self-awareness; self-management; social awareness; and relationship management can be acquired through group activities. Emotional Literacy sessions presented in this project include issues of communication; self-awareness and selfesteem; emotional knowledge; friendship and cooperation; relationships; and managing challenges. |
