Abstract: The intention of this research is to identify the attitudes and provisions towards homosexuals within the Maltese Educational system. Homosexuality is still a taboo in our society. How is the Maltese society catering for the needs of homosexual people? What services or provisions are being offered to these people? This study investigates how teachers and the rest of the community feel about homosexual people. The questionnaires distributed in the secondary schools might bring out particular events where teachers and heads of schools have encountered homosexual students. The questionnaires will also reflect the general impressions heads of schools and specific teachers have towards homosexual people. These questionnaires consist of four sections; one addressed to heads of schools, another to guidance teachers, another to religion teachers and the last one addressed to lifeskills teachers. The questionnaires being distributed are 48 in all, and the schools concerned are 12. The results of the other questionnaires distributed to the community consist of 65 in all. These are distributed to various people in our society, including teachers, managers, priest, tourist guides, etc. Therefore the result of my research aims at bringing out the various attitudes of the Maltese community towards the homosexual people.
