Abstract: ParkS is a complete system including hardware and software, which can be implemented in various scenarios to monitor parking space availability. Sensors at entrance or exit points will be required to feed data to the software that in turn calculates and outputs a physical signal to show that parking lot is full, or that space is still available. The software will also record transactions at set periods. This data can be displayed using a web browser and can be used by users to check availability and by the management to analyse activity and thus draw up business plans or marketing strategies.
