| Abstract: | The following work Is a research project designed to study the Impact of Norwegian nationalism on EU - Norway relations. The research is based on data derived from a fieldwork session in which four in-depth qualitative interviews with high-ranking political representative were carried out, an observation session of the political campaign, and a survey of available quantitative data on voter beliefs and behaviour. The main themes of the following discussion are the academic debates on nationalism, the political value of nationalism, Norwegian history, issues on democracy, culture, traditions and language and European integration. |
