Abstract: Requirements elicitation and statement is a development phase carried out in the initial stages of the development life cycle of every system. All solution stakeholders communicate to specify the requirements of the system to be developed. This would result on the statement of a set of agreed-to and valid functional and non-functional requirements directing the further development of the software solution. Historically, this development phase is one prone to subjectivity and lack of structure and considered by many developers relatively tedious one. This Final Year Project (FYP) aims to study the requirements process, analyse its various constituent actions and properties, extract commonalities and propose aspects of automated support, with as little human intervention and interpretation as possible, for this development phase.
