Foamed concrete for improved local trench reinstatements

Abstract

The choice of materials to go into the construction industry depends upon several factors, functional, economic, physical, chemical, mechanical, constructional and often aesthetic. All have to be considered together, for the omission of any of them can lead easily and unwittingly to unsound assessments. Like most construction products in today's business world, concrete and concrete products can be made to meet exacting standards and new designs. Foamed concrete is not a new material having found extensive use in Europe and other parts of the world, however, its use in Malta is totally new.
