| Abstract: | Strengthening of a structure becomes necessary if its stability and fitness for use under the stipulated conditions can no longer be guaranteed. A service life of approximately 80 years is generally assumed for a reinforced concrete member. During that period it has to meet many different requirements, not all of which may be known in the design phase. |
