Abstract: ''Why would someone opt to sleep in a tiny tent, rather than sleep in a cosy room with a roof above his head?" Camping is a recreation shared and enjoyed by many, because of its simplicity and because it gets us outdoors and serves as an opportunity to experience nature firsthand. It provides physical benefits when it involves hiking to, from and around a campsite. And while adults are given the opportunity to challenge themselves in unfamiliar surroundings, it instils confidence in youngsters. In fact, contrary to many people's beliefs, camping is not for 'youth". It is ideal for people of all ages, for singles, couples, families and youth groups, to mention a few. It is for all those who find it extremely appealing to sleep under an open sky and waking up when the first rays of sun appear. And most of all camping really helps people benefit from the mental and physical therapy of the great outdoors away from the fast pace of city life.
