| Abstract: | St. Paul's Missionary College was founded in 1964 and ever since its main source of income have been donations. The college accepts approximately 260 students per academic year. In accordance with the agreement between the Government and the Vatican Church in 1991, the salaries of the teachers are paid by the Government plus a 10% topping over to cover the running expenses of the college. However, the Board of Directors, lead by the rector, Fr. Gerald Bonello, feel that the college needs to obtain an alternative but constant source of income. Encouraged by the results obtained by St. Aloysius College, the directors of the college opted to make a feasibility study on building a health and fitness centre in the area adjacent to the football pitch. This gym will be of a commercial nature and the income earned from it would be used for future capital projects as well as for the college's running expenses. For the scope of this study, the term 'complex' will be used to refer to the proposed health and fitness centre. |
