| Abstract: | Entertainment plays an important part in everyone's life. One form of entertainment is theatre. One important theatre, which unfortunately stands in ruins today, is the Royal Opera House. This study aims to take the reader back through the years, to relive the history of the Opera House since its inception within the development of Valletta. The dissertation proposes the development of the site as an entertainment centre based on conservation philosophies in order to link the future with the past and integrating the new building within Valletta's urban Context. |
