| Abstract: | One of the types of loading which is not covered by design specification, but can appear
on roofs of industrial buildings is loading coming from dust. Dust loading on the roof can be consider as one of the infrequent loading case. Dust loading may be frequently observed in regions with such industrial plants like: foundry, melt and cast factory, blast furnace, cement plants, flour mills (Fig.1). ect.. Dust loading is also observed in regions close to volcano, like near Vesuvius. Dust loading can be sometimes danger for roof structures of above mentioned buildings and for building in close vicinity, till 20 m, of them. This kind of loading is not complied in design codes, also in Eurocodes. |
