Abstract: Like many other principal churches in Malta, St. Catherine's parish church at Żurrieq is the custodian of an artistic and sacred heritage, dating back several hundreds of years. Unfortunately, these treasures have never been given their well deserved merit. Throughout most of the year these precious artifacts are kept in storage and are therefore inaccessible to an appreciative public. Through an inventory listing of the artefacts present in the church, it was identified that the church of Żurrieq has enough potential for the creation of a museum, taking in consideration the various preservation techniques involved in order to create the museum in a sustainable way.
