Changing geographies of a developing area in Pieta'

Abstract

Two construction sites in Pieta' were chosen to investigate their impact on the urban environment. Differing phenomena were tested out, some of which include the perspectives of construction workers working on site, local residents, pedestrians and local shop owners with regard to the construction site itself. The perspectives of each were gathered through questionnaires. A traffic survey was carried out in order to study the number of construction trucks compared to the number of passenger cars outside the construction sites.
