| Abstract: | The translation into English of the polychrome intarsia sepulchral slabs and monuments of the knights of the Order of St John placed in the nave of St John's Co-Cathedral is a virgin subject. Till today, no such translation has been published. The re-edition and translation are the main topics of this MA dissertation. This work further contains a description of the symbols, the marble used, the artistic taste and a description of each slab or monument. |
