Abstract: The main aim of this thesis is to combine in detail the global fight against terrorism especially the actions taken to limit terrorism in an EU-US context. In regards to the European and American cooperation, emphasis will be shown in depth as much as it is feasible in order to analyze both continents' relationship. The emphasis will focus on the EU-US's relationship pertaining to terrorism in general, curbing terrorism and most importantly to eliminate this modem unorthodox warfare. The result of this research should illuminate the present Western predicament namely that against human missiles there is no defence. This is precisely what is occurring in today's complicated world due to the lack of respect and moral obligation to mankind. On terrorism in general, this unfortunate state that the world finds itself in, is not tackle now, or in the foreseeable future. Unless human rights, the freedom to practice any religion, the freedom of movement and the fundamental rights for all willing human beings to earn a living are respected and put into practice by all responsible governments, terrorism will continue. Huge effort and expense, whether human or monetary, are being offered by a great part of the world as a united front to find plausible solutions. Great strives have been achieved, but, real threats still exist to the detriment of human life and sectors of certain economies.
