Reconciliation in the spirituality of St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier

Abstract

The aim of this study is to appreciate the richness of the spirituality of St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier, Foundress of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd Congregation. It focuses particularly on the theme of reconciliation, as the unifying aspect of her spirituality. The method used is a bibliographical search into the life history of Mary Euphrasia Reference is made to the French spirituality of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries with special focus on St. John Eudes, main source of influence on St. Mary Euphrasia. The study will finally show how Mary Euphrasia' s spirituality has been and still is a gift of God to today's world.
