Abstract: | In this work we are going to study the three parables regarding prayer which are unique to Luke, namely, The Friend at Midnight, The Unjust Judge and The Pharisee and the Tax Collector. These will not be discussed before we would have taken a broad overview of the general theme of prayer found in Luke-Acts. Thus keeping this theme in mind, we are going to speak of Luke's Gospel being the first part of his twofold work as concerning Jesus at prayer during His earthly life, while when speaking of Acts we are going to give special attention to his accounts of prayer during the life of the early Church. |
