| Abstract: | "Art has in itself a purpose." In the 19th century Spain the bourgeoisie was almost everything. The basics of literature called realistic were that the authors tried to integrate an idea of the ways in which individuals shaped their world, the political habits and daily customs. The objective of the present research work is to perform a comparative analysis of the realistic and naturalistic novels – ‘Pepita Jiménez’, ‘Insolación’ and ‘Tristana’ - and concludes that the authors provide ideas on the feminine image always with clarity, order, appeal and a simplicity of the realistic novel. A study that analyze the situation of women in all its aspects: its place in society, in love and in work. |
