| Abstract: | Villa Mystique, strategically perched at the top of the valley known as Wied Mejxu, Madliena, is a highly original combination of a hunting lodge, residence and at one time, venue of informal, social gatherings and night-time sessions of jazz music. The design is a highly original and organic one that defies any attempt at stylistic codification. lts jagged forms and silhouette, today overwhelmed by aggressive climbers are highly suggestive of some ancient ruins rising from the midst of the dense vegetation that covers this part of the valley. It is a building that makes you stop in your tracks, scratch your head and provokes you to pose the inevitable question "Why?''. |
