| Abstract: | In my thesis, I tried to produce a social study on Paola. However, it would have lost much of its significance if written outside the wider context of the general situation in Malta. While studying the process of development in Paola, I got to know more about the life of the Maltese since the 1880s, and their strive along the years to improve their standard of living from sheer misery to the present situation where real poverty is practically non-existent. |
