Abstract: Coming to choose the subject for my dissertation was not so difficult. I have often pondered on how Christ's message, given to us in a particular historical context and in a particular Jewish culture is to be a message for all times and cultures. After discussing the subject with Fr. Rene Camilleri, Head of Department of Fundamental, Dogmatic & Ecumenical Theology, whom I sincerely thank for his useful help, I started to collect any useful information that could throw light on the subject. Being such a vast subject, I had to limit my work about the great ever-present challenge of inculturation as seen in the light of the Synod of 1974 and the two subsequent important documents of the Magisterium Evangelii Nuntiandi and Redemptoris Missio. After analysing what was discussed by the synodal Fathers and by both Popes in their respective work, together with the Culture to which we partake, I asked God's Spirit to help me make a useful discernment [...].
