| Abstract: | It is certain that passing through a period of war is one of ,the worse experiences any population can live through. Malta faced many instances where it had to endure the harshness brought on by conflicts, some extending over short periods of time while others being much more prolonged. Yet it is certain that the longest and roughest time experienced by the Maltese embraces the years of the Second World War. |
