| Abstract: | The aim of this study is to analyze the functions and roles of the National Plant Protection Organization of Malta in safeguarding the Maltese Agro-ecosystem. The study is about the various functions and role of the NPPO within the EU legislation framework, in preventing the introduction of harmful organisms of plant and plant products in the Maltese islands. A special reference is made to some pests and diseases which were identified by various experts during the last years. |
