Abstract: The research reported in this thesis is concerned with the design and implementation of a Mobile Agent which is able to deploy from a Personal Digital Assistant, change location to a Personal Computer connected to the network where it performs a function and returns the result back to the Personal Digital Assistant. In this way whenever a Personal Digital Assistant user wants to perform any function, but the Personal Digital Assistant does not support all the processing power needed, all the user has to do is to move the process to a Personal Computer with the help of this Mobile Agent. The novelty of this research is the Mobile Agent framework which is implemented to allow a user to develop and deploy a functional Mobile Agent without the need to understand any Mobile Agent concepts but simply concentrate on the functionality required. This is done by creating an interface which the user has to implement in order to have a functional Mobile Agent.
