Abstract: This dissertation introduces an XML encoded reverse engineering transformation from C# to Unified Modeling Language (UML). We explore the relationship between features in the source code and components in the UML Diagrams. A number of XML templates help to store the information about the different diagrams, which are then mapped to the respective type of diagram using GDI+ graphics. By exploiting XML technologies, this approach demonstrates the opportunities for simple, standardized and adaptable conversions between code and design information, within an automated software environment.
