A semantic web search engine

Abstract

The World Wide Web as we know it today is simply a network of documents containing unstructured text. Traditional search engines make use of term frequency in documents in order to rank documents found as a result to a query. This often leads to very low precision and recall. Through the Semantic Web, and with the help of Semantic Web search engines, we aim to improve precision and recall, thus having more accurate results to queries made on the web. Results will not be returned depending on the terms used in documents, but according to the semantic meaning of the content of the document.
