Abstract: The head of school’s job is becoming increasingly complex and loaded. The writer of this long essay aims to identify the stressors that heads of state secondary schools in Malta have as well as the methods and skills they use to overcome the stressors and the support structure Heads have. The analysis is based on findings by different researchers and the feedback from responses to a questionnaire that will be sent to all heads of state secondary schools in Malta.
