Abstract: High School in North Tyneside, United Kingdom. Administrative practices were observed and reflected upon in the light of educational theories explored throughout the Post Graduate Diploma course. The observations and findings were placed in the context of the British Educational System. A brief history of the school observed, together with an account of its philosophy, achievements and amenities were described. Managerial issues were identified through observations, attendance to relevant meetings and activities, specific interviews and a staff questionnaire. Being an education-oriented report, curricular and extra-curricular matters, with particular reference to teaching and learning were investigated. All these aspects of the school's work were analysed and substantiated with relevant literature research. In conclusion, whilst acknowledging the particularities of the local context, this review draws recommendations which could be adapted to the Maltese Educational System once the necessary reforms have been introduced.
